United Way of Forsyth County provides fiscal sponsorship to grassroots initiatives and emerging organizations that want to make a difference in our community but may not yet have nonprofit status. By serving as the fiscal sponsor, we offer administrative support, financial management, and compliance oversight—so community leaders can focus on mission and impact.

Our role includes:

United For ALICE

Across Forsyth and Dawson Counties, thousands of hardworking households are struggling to make ends meet. These families are part of the ALICE population—Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. They earn above the Federal Poverty Level, but not enough to afford the basics like housing, childcare, food, transportation, and healthcare.

Day of Caring is United Way of Forsyth County’s single largest volunteer day, bringing the community together to give back year after year. It’s more than just a day of service—it’s a powerful example of what we can achieve when we work together to support our neighbors in need.

Youth United

Youth United is United Way of Forsyth County’s youth leadership and service program, empowering high school students to become changemakers in their community. Through volunteer projects, leadership development, and hands-on experiences, students learn the value of service while building skills that prepare them for the future.
