Our Focus
The UWFC focus is:
- To serve as a central fund raising agency for human programs for selected
agencies
- To serve as a community-wide forum for identifying the needs for human
services
- To act as a central instrument through which the whole community can both
support and make use of the agencies that perform these services
- To provide the effective voice for ensuring that these services are
performed according to the high standards of quality, efficiency, and economy
- To promote cooperation among United Way organizations striving for a
United appeal, while maintaining their individuality to best meet the needs of
this community

Forsyth County Child Advocacy Center

struggling with alcohol and drug addiction; provides food and clothing pantry

programs for boys designed to build leadership, character and citizenship

The Place
770-887-1098 Provides emergency financial assistance, thrift
store and food pantry, elderly assistance, youth program, Hispanic program,
and a noon meal on Wednesdays; the Hands Across Forsyth program provides
holiday distribution of food and toys to families in need; the Forsyth County
Medical Fund provides life sustaining medicine and limited emergency dental
for residents that do not have insurance or the financial resources. |
